At Mountain Paws, we believe that pets are family, and we treat your pet as though they are one of our own!

 

Mountain Paws was created out of a love for dogs and seeing a need for intimate, in home dog boarding in the North Georgia area. My wife and I have always had dogs as personal pets and recently began breeding pugs. Soon, we began taking dog behavior classes and trained a few of our pugs as therapy dogs to help with our local community.

 

We started meeting more and more people who wanted a place where they could take their dogs when they were out of town and their dogs be cared for like family. After much consideration, my wife and I thought we could offer that "home away from home" feel. Our two teenaged boys have even gotten involved and love playing with the dogs that stay with us. On any particular day, you can find one of us throwing a ball or relaxing with a dog at home. We have even started a socialization daycare that helps puppies, or even old dogs, learn to socialize with other dogs. This has been so much fun watching dogs learn to play and let loose!
